Gold Creek (I-90 Exit 54), second path. The first path is right off the freeway, the second path is a mile or two east along the road, and the cross-country path is further down the road (there is no turnoff or turnaround past the second path).
This trail is too narrow and ungroomed for cross-country skiers but it is fine for snowshoeing. It follows a gradual incline for most of the trip, with some short steep stretches a few miles in.
The snow was excellent, dry and deep. Without snowshoes you could posthole pretty far down. A little pellet snow fell around lunchtime, but the promised windstorm did not materialize in the mountains (in Seattle the wind was strong enough to knock out power in many areas).
